ABOUT US

Jenna Saunders has been involved with horses from the time she was 6 years old.  Her dream was to be a horse trainer when she grew up. As a youth she had an incredibly successful show career in a variety of different disciplines including the AQHA all-around events, reining, reined cow horse, and at one point in her career even ventured into the hunter ring. In 2006 Jenna was part of Team Canada and competed at the AQHA Youth World Cup in Amarillo, Texas. Throughout her youth career, Jenna had many other successes, including multiple NRHA and AQHA titles. In 2008, Jenna competed in the reining at the AQHA Youth World Show on her horse Cals Martini Bar.

At the age of 20, Jenna started her career as an instructor. In the past 10 years she has coached many students to multiple wins in a variety of disciplines, but her specialty is in the western events. Jenna worked her way up and 5 years ago she and her husband purchased Creekside Equestrian and has built it into one of the top western facilities on Vancouver Island.

Outside of training, Jenna is active member of her local equine community, as a leader for the Saanich 4-H horse club and a member of the Vancouver Island Coastal Cowgirls. Through 4-H Jenna helps encourage young women to explore their passion for horses in collaborative and educational environment. She also performs with the Vancouver Island Coastal Cowgirls, who are an equestrian drill team that perform at rodeos and exhibitions throughout British Columbia
